Air quality shown in real-time
Uses Infrared Technology to detect your air quality and changes the LED color indicator accordingly based the air quality at home.
With an Auto Humidity Sensor which uses an accurate hygrostat to measure the relative humidity.

Easy to drain tank and move around
You can either remove the 3.2L water tank from the dehumidifier or connect a hose so it can drain by itself.
Sterra Sun™ is also equipped with wheels so you can move it from room to room.

No sleep disruptions

Product FAQ
Product FAQ
What is the difference between Sterra Sun, Sterra Sun+filter and Sterra Sun+Sterra Breeze?
By installing a filter, the Sterra Sun also acts as an air purifier. Hence, it ensures cleaner air will be released from the machine which will help in further preventing exacerbating current respiratory conditions. The main difference between Sterra Sun’s air purification capability and Sterra Breeze is the filter. Sterra Sun’s filter is HEPA H11 while Sterra Breeze uses the HEPA H13. The HEPA H13 filter is considered medical grade and it contains activated carbon which is useful to removing unpleasant odors. In addition, the Sterra Sun’s air purification capability has a CADR of 60m3/hr vs the Breeze’s CADR at 400m3/hr.
What does the ambient color mean?
Blue means good air quality, yellow means average air quality and red means poor air quality.
What is the machine external casing made of?
ABS. ABS is a material that is very sturdy and hard, thus having strong resistance to physical impacts.
What happens once the humidity level is reached?
Assuming we have set the desired humidity level (40%, 60% and 80%), and the dehumidifier has managed to bring the RH down to the desired level, the compressor will stop working. There is no dehumidification at this point. However, you will still feel wind coming out from the dehumidifier. Once the RH % increases, the compressor will start working and dehumidification will start to bring the RH % down to the desired level.
What happens once the desired time is reached?
Once the desired time is reached, the dehumidifier will shut down. The running indicator will be turned off and there will not be any wind coming out of the machine.
What happens once the water tank is full?
Once the water tank is full, dehumidification stops and the “water tank full” indicator will light up. There will not be any wind coming out of the machine. Slowly remove the water tank from the dehumidifier, pour the water away before putting the water tank back into the dehumidifier. Once the water tank is put back, the dehumidifier will start working according to the state (i.e. fan speed, desired humidity level) at which it stopped due to the full water tank. Dehumidification will not start until 3 minutes later.
How to use continuous drainage?
There is an opening above the water tank. Open it and put the rubber hose through. Connect the rubber hose to the drainage hole. You might want to remove the water tank to make it easier to connect the rubber hose to the drainage hole. After attaching the rubber hose to the drainage hole, put the water tank back. Please ensure the rubber hose is not folded or twisted to enable the water to flow out easily.
How long is the rubber hose?
1.5m
Is it recommended to switch off the machine at night?
You may switch the mode to Sleep mode.
If I had set a timer on the Sterra Sun and the water tank is full halfway through (lets say 1 hour remaining), will the timer overwrite the full water tank?
Assuming the water tank is full before the timer is up (lets say 1 hour remaining), the machine will stop working. The machine will only begin working once the water tank is emptied and put back into the machine. Dehumidification will only happen 3 mins later and the timer will resume with 1 hour remaining.
Will the Sterra Sun continue working when the filter changing indicator is on?
When the filter needs to be changed, the running indicator will keep blinking but the machine will still continue working (dehumidifying). Open the air inlet grill and remove the old filter. Replace it with a new filter and put the air inlet grill back. Press and hold the power button for at least 5-7 seconds until you hear a beep sound to reset the filter timer.
There is another scenario where maybe we don't want the air purification function anymore. Hence, when the filter needs to be changed, the running indicator will keep blinking but the machine will still continue working (dehumidifying). Open the air inlet grill and remove the old filter. Put the air inlet grill back. Press and hold the power button for at least 5-7 seconds until you hear a beep sound.
If I set the humidity level on the Sterra Sun to 80% and the room's humidity level is less than 80% , does that mean that the machine is not working?
The compressor will not be working, hence no dehumidification will occur. However, air circulation is still happening. Therefore, if the filter is installed, there will be purified air coming out of the machine.
If I never open the original filter packaging, how long can the filter last?
3 years from the date of manufacture.
If the filter is already placed into the machine, how long can the filter last?
2,200 hours. Assuming the dehumidifier is switched on for 6-8 hours, the filter is expected to last for 9-12 months. However, filter replacement duration also depends on the environment where the dehumidifier is placed at. Hence, please check the filter periodically to ensure the dehumidifier is working at its best condition.
What can be filtered?
The HEPA H11 filter can remove 99.8% of airborne particles, up to as small as 0.3 microns. As the filter does not contain active carbon, the filter can only filter dust, dander, pet fur, allergens, PM2.5, viruses and bacteria. The active carbon component is to remove unpleasant smells.
What is the difference between Sterra Breeze/Sterra Moon’s HEPA H13 filter and Sterra Sun’s HEPA H11 filter?
H13’s filter efficiency is better than H11. In addition, the H13 filter for Sterra Breeze/Sterra Moon contains active carbon which helps to remove unpleasant smells.
