What makes Sterra Paws so great?

Do Sterra Paws have a UV or Ion feature?

Is there a standby/sleep mode?

Yes, this is via selection under the fan speed modes. This mode will set the device to low fan speed and have the light indicator off too.

How long does the filter last and how can I change it? Is the filter washable?

The filter lasts about 2200 hours. Turning the machine on for around 6-8 hours daily leads to a lifespan of 9-12 months. You’ll know to change the filter when the ring color flashes and changes to a red color. The filter used is not washable.

How much electricity is consumed by the Sterra Paws in 1 hour of usage?

The power consumption will not be huge, being 45W, and costs around $0.01 for an hour of usage. Having the air purifier turned on for 10 hours daily is in the range of $3 for the monthly electricity bill.

What do the blinking lights mean?

If the light is flashing and in red, it means that the filter needs to be changed. When changing the filter, please make sure to remove the filter packaging before use. The purifier should be turned off and unplugged before removing and installing the new filter.

Will Sterra Paws still work even if I don’t attach the special membrane?

Yes Sterra Paws will still work since the filter inside already has all the necessary filter parts to do the air filtration efficiently. However, a special membrane is recommended so that the particles of dust and fur caught upon filtration will stick to the membrane and not the filter directly, thus further increasing its efficiency by changing the membranes when the dust or pet fur is visibly obvious on the fabric.

Can I access the functionality of Sterra Paws using an app?

Yes, you can download and install the SmartLife App to control some of the air purifier’s features using your phone.

What is a special functionality that is only available with Sterra Paws?

All of the Sterra air purifiers have an activated carbon feature. However, Sterra Paws tops all in this feature for the unit is specially made to not only purify the air but also has an enhanced odor-removing capability to deal with the odors of having a pet at home due to higher content of activated carbon in the filter.
