POSITION OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopify's platform, extensive experience in e-commerce development, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions. As a Shopify Developer, you will play a key role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce websites for Sterra.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Software Development:
  • Engage in web development using programming languages and technologies such as Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify Theme 2.0 architecture including JSON, Customizer, and use of metaobjects.
  • Develop new functionality, experiences, and pages on Shopify sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement software features.
  • Fix bugs and breakages.
2. Project Planning and Execution:
  • Define and develop project scope, objectives, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to mitigate them.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and address issues and risks promptly.
3. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including project status, risks, and issues.
  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment between project outcomes and business goals.
4. Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that IT projects meet quality standards and fulfill business requirements.
  • Conduct UAT on projects and ensure all requirements are met.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Generate regular project status reports for stakeholders and management.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience developing Shopify-based e-commerce websites.
  • Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Liquid.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of SEO and ADA best practices.
  • Experience with Shopify's CLI is a big plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 20 hrs per week (4hrs/day)
